Hello, I am Sagun Paudel,Young Public Health Practitioner from Nepal. I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health in 2014 along with PCL in General Medicine Course in 2009. I started my professional career from hospital-based clinical services as a Health Assistant and recently, I have worked as a Program Specialist at Health for Life Project. My job was focused on health system strengthening activities to improve the quality of health services and increase the service utilization from poor, marginalized and hard to reach community peoples at district and sub-district level in Kaski, Nepal. As an early-career public health professional from a developing country, I have always been interested to work in the health system to improve our health governance and health service delivery approach. I found that the course content of this MPH (Implementation Research) fits perfectly with my career aims, so I enrolled in this course at FK-KMK UGM. This course is supported by WHO TDR postgraduate training program. It has been a great experience to be a part of UGM, Indonesia. Our faculty has provided us a very efficient platform to enhance our capacity in Implementation research as well as to understand the various dimension of public health as provided by course structure. Experienced and supportive professors, lecturers and staffs are the assets of this University. The international reputation of UGM and the network of lecturers is an additional opportunity for future professional collaboration. The combination of multinational, multi-cultural students with different academic background itself is the best platform to learn from each other. Discussing, experience sharing and analyzing the best practices in health together helps us to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of international practices. This course provides us a very practical knowledge to think, analyze, identify and solve the implementation problems in different contexts. I am sure that the knowledge and skill we gained from this course is very practical, and we can utilize this knowledge and skills to further strengthen our national health system. Also, Indonesia is a beautiful country. Tourist attraction, foods, and culture are very unique, exploring Jogja is a lifetime opportunity to enjoy with nature and socio-cultural exchange. I would like to thank my professors, lecturer and administrative staff for their continuous encouragement and support for my academic activities. I am very grateful to the University for providing this opportunity.
